Owner, Paul Lemmon, of Lemmon's Stump Removal, started his business in 2004.   As a very ambitious and hard working 24 year old, he saw a need for a prompt, professional stump removal service that offered a complete service with clean-ups.  That was when he established Lemmon's Stump Removal and bought the first stump grinding machine.

Paul has been an entrepreneur from the beginning.  He grew up in North Canton, Ohio where he started shoveling driveways in the Winter when he was just old enough to cross the street.  Paul has worked as a construction supervisor, building new homes.  He was involved in each stage from layout to handing the keys to the new homeowners and walking them through the house.  In 2000, he began a home remodeling business.

My past experience in the excavating business help me in this business by understanding grades, and how underground utilities are run.  I've worked my way up from small 25hp to the top of the line 110hp. I enjoy traveling around, meeting people and helping out with their projects."

Lemmon's Stump Removal is more than just a guy with a truck and stump grinder.  We are a full-time business that is serious about keeping well maintained, top quality equipment to best meet our customers' needs.  Here are the highlights of each machine, their capabilities, and what they can do for you.

Vermeer SC 1152
This is our largest portable stump grinding unit. It features a 4 cylinder 110 hp Cummins Diesel Engine. It is made in the USA (Pella, IA). It has the ability to access backyard stumps in as narrow as a 36" gate. The machine can be operated by both wireless remote control and at the machine. The cutter wheel is made locally in Smithville, Ohio by New River Equipment. The 1152 sits on 6 tires and will not tear up the yard. It can easily travel over wet lawns without damaging grass. This machine has an open cutter wheel setup and will not throw debris all over the yard. This is our most versatile machine and can be used in any situation for any stump.

Vermeer SC 502
This is a mid-sized tow-behind stump grinding unit. This machine needs to be tied to the truck to access the stump. This is not our primary machine but one used to access stumps off the street or driveway or in areas where crossing lawns is not an issue. The 502 stump grinder has a large chip capacity and neatly piles the grindings right where the stump is. It features a 50hp Perkins Diesel Engine and it has a wide swing making it capable of grinding roots mound in a single pass. This machine is all hydraulically controlled at the machine.

Rayco 1625 Super Jr.
This stump grinder is made locally in Wooster, Ohio. It is very light weight and can access through a 35" gate. We use this machine on smaller hard-to-get-to stumps. Its great for inside gardens and around swimming pools. It has a Kohler 25hp gas engine and is all hydraulic controlled.

Caterpillar 242 Loader
This machine is part of our loader service and features a 78hp Caterpillar Diesel Engine, enclosed cab, all joystick controls. It's powerful and capable of operating many attachments including trenchers, brush hogs, augers etc.

Bobcat 763 Loader
This the lighter machine we use for stump cleanups as part of our loader service. Its has the ability to travel across the lawn and not tear up the turf. We can also use this machine to spread topsoil, regrade, and level out uneven areas of the lawn.

Stump Grinder Trailer
All custom built by us in the shop. They can be built for any Vermeer portable unit.  This particular model shown is made for the Vermeer SC 1152. Our trailers have a sharp turning ability to back into tight driveways and feature hydraulic disc brakes, all LED lighting, rubberized decking and a powder coat finish. We have 2 of these trailers with different style ramps and it gives us the ability to unload the machine to higher ground.
